IT'S ALL ABOUT RELATIONSHIPS!

Our mission is to pursue the Real God, Broken People, Changing Lives and Making Disciples.

Pursuing the Real God

Many people pursue their own version of God…We are pursuing the Real God of the Bible! We do this through WORSHIP and PRAYER.  We believe disciples of Jesus express their reverence and devotion to Him through Worship.  Jesus declared, “God is Spirit, and His worshippers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” Jn. 4: 24 As disciples worship and express their reverence to God, they respond with humility and alignment with His will through Prayer. Prayer is the engine of the Church. The explosion of transformation in Act 2 was preceded with 10 days of prayer in Acts 1. The pattern is clear…every move of God was preceded by intentional, corporate prayer. We know that failure to pray is the enemy’s favorite strategy for the Church.

A Praying Church

Pursuing Broken People

It is obvious there is brokenness all around us in North Shreveport . . . as well as North Louisiana.  We know the deepest need is spiritual and without the Gospel, people will spend eternity separated from God in Hell. Our goal-connecting them to CHRIST, the CHURCH and to a COMMUNITY small group Bible Study.

Connect to CHRIST-He is the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Jesus! Jesus said He is the only way to a life changing relationship.  If you have never been transformed by Christ, check out The Three Circles.

Connect to the CHURCH- Being a part of a local gathering of believers is important and  biblical.  If you desire to become a member of Trinity Heights, here are two ways: Present yourself for membership at the end of any worship service. Just come forward and speak with one of the staff members stationed at the front of the altar.  They will guide you through some important questions and help you take the next steps. Second, you can attend the Discover Trinity Membership Class and present yourself for membership at the end of the class time.

Connect to a COMMUNITY– We have Sunday School Bible study groups for all ages that meet Sunday mornings.  Anyone can join a group and begin to learn about God and find friendships that will last forever. We have a list of age group Bible studies you can choose from.  All classes begin at 9:30 am each Sunday morning.

Pursuing Life Change

A traffic circle or a roundabout is designed for traffic to flow safely, together, and explore multiple destinations. Some people like them and some people, well, you get the idea! Our traffic circle is just a visual!  As a Disciple on the journey, we need a spiritual roadmap to help us experience all God has for our lives. This is clear from our definition, “A Disciple is one who follows Christ, is being changed by Christ, and is surrendered to the mission of Christ.” Having a roadmap helps guide our steps.  We identify two lanes of travel on the journey: Discipleship and Disciple Making. Discipleship is the process of helping existing believers grow in their faith with the goal of becoming Christ-like in character, conduct and conversation.  Disciple making is engaging those far from God with the Gospel, connecting them with Christ and community, training them to walk with Jesus, and multiply disciples locally and globally. It helps us see how discipleship and disciple making are the catalysts for impacting our church and our local/global communities. As we do life, we enter a daily rhythm of discipleship (8-M’s), we engage life and have the opportunity of obeying Jesus as he directs us – serve our local church, the local community and the global community.  As we navigate in and out of this daily rhythm and service, we engage people! That engagement grants us opportunities for disciple making.  As disciples are birthed, we help them join with us in the journey and mirror what we do.  Soon they are disciples who are making disciples as well.  This pattern begins to multiply and disciple making lends itself to a movement that transforms the church, the community and the world!  A discipleship rhythm tool we have for you is called The Journey Journal.  It helps you integrate the 8-M rhythms into your daily walk with Christ.  We provide you with a discipleship library of over 20,000 studies to assist you with personal and family discipleship and growth called Right Now Media.  Nobody wants to travel alone!  We want you to do life with others. You can participate in a disciple making Journey Group.  This group of disciples (3-5) commits to walking together for a season to grow in their faith and do life together by engaging their world with the Gospel. This group holds each other accountable to obey the Holy Spirit and invest in others. The tools are simple, reproducible and geared toward multiplication.

Pursuing Disciple Making

It’s pretty simple…Follow Jesus and Fish for Men…Matthew 4: 19. Jesus said it and we get to do it.  We believe the Journey moves us to our local community and our global community. Not everyone will come to Trinity Heights Baptist Church, so we must go to them. We believe every neighborhood, apartment complex, mobile home park, nursing home, assisted living facility, prison – every place people live – they deserve to hear the Good News and gather in a faith community!  A Micro Church Gathering is a small group of believers doing life together as the church. It is the picture of the early church in Acts 2: 36-47. Trinity Heights is committed to see 80 locations hosting micro church gatherings in North Shreveport.  We want to make Church accessible and simple! We believe this is a picture of New Testament multiplication and we are certain God will use it to change the world.
